NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) The City of North Myrtle Beach and Barefoot Resort and Golf teamed up Friday for a charity golf tournament to raise funds for the city's 'Shop with a Cop' program.

The Shop With a Cop program provides children in need with lunch and a $100 dollar Walmart gift card to purchase gifts and neccessities before the holidays, with the company of North Myrtle Beach police officers.

North Myrtle Beach DARE officer Julie Smith said, "If you ever get to attend just one time, just one time with our kids, and get to be part of it, it will humble you and make you want to be part of it every year. It's awesome."
